Sur Gallery PROFILES is an initiative that was created in response to the lack of online archival information about individual artists of the Latin American diaspora in Canada. Developed by Sur Gallery Director/Curator Tamara Toledo this series of fifteen five-minute portrait videos does not represent all notable artists in Canada but offers an insight into the scale and breadth of the community. It features artists from Montreal, Toronto, Kingston, and Vancouver whose work incorporates a wide range of themes, mediums, aesthetics, and approaches to art making.
